SUMMARY:Reynier Llanes: Pursuit of Grace Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:The Stedman Gallery at Rutgers University–Camden offers a series of free public programs in conjunction with their current exhibition\, Reynier Llanes: Pursuit of Grace.  \nYear of the Arts at Rutgers University–Camden presents “Pursuit of Grace” an exhibit by renowned artist\, Reynier Llanes. Llanes’ paintings of imagined landscapes engage visual metaphors that explore personal\, cultural\, environmental\, and social inquiries. Through these subjects\, he asks philosophical questions about time and human experience. His work reminds us that discomfort is a necessary companion on the path to a hopeful and graceful future. \nThis exhibition features previous works from 2017 through 2024 as well as new works created for this exhibition at Rutgers University–Camden \nAbout the Artist\nBorn in Pinar del Rio\, Cuba in 1985. He attended the city’s school of art (Instructores de Arte) for four years and completed his studies in 2004. In 2012 Oxford America recognized him as one of the “New Superstars of Southern Art.” Llanes relocated with his family to Miami in 2015 in order to take advantage of the city’s international art market and vibrant cultural life and to be closer to his home country. His work is represented by prestigious institutions like Harmon Meek Gallery in Naples\, FL\, featured in public collections like the Denver Art Museum and presented at The Butler Institute of American Art\, the Polk Musuem of Art\, among many others. Our Fall College Fair will take place on Tuesday October 28\, 2025 from 2pm- 5pm. This year’s event is gearing up to be a college information session that will provide Camden students a unique opportunity to explore higher learning options. We are elated to announce that more than 20 colleges like Rutgers\, Camden County College\, Rowan\, Penn State\, William Paterson\, and many more will be in attendance and we desire the cooperation from our Camden City Schools to make this event a great success. \nYour participation is vital in giving our students access to the diverse educational opportunities available and we appreciate your commitment to fostering the next generation of educated professionals. The college fair will provide a platform for your students to engage with prospective colleges\, explore their interests\,  and gain access to  many colleges in the tri-state area. SUMMARY:Cooper Norcross Run the Bridge
DESCRIPTION:This popular 10K starts at the base of the Ben Franklin Bridge on the New Jersey side\, crosses the bridge\, doubles back\, takes you through the waterfront area\, and finishes at the Camden Athletic Complex. A two-mile bridge walk will immediately follow the start of the run. All Cooper Norcross Run the Bridge Event proceeds benefit the children of Larc School. Larc School provides services to hundreds of individuals with severe disabilities throughout South Jersey – at no cost to the families.
